Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Commissioner Dan Esty wrote a book, Green to Gold, with Andrew Winston.
Andrew Winston once consulted for GreenOrder, according to an old version of the company’s website archived in a discussion group.
GreenOrder created GO Ventures in 2006 and spun off the company two years later.
In 2008, GO Ventures and another company partnered to create Class Green Capital Partners.
Class Green employed Gov. Dannel Malloy as a senior director from December 2009 until November 2010, according to Malloy’s ethics disclosure form.
Former U.S. Ambassador to Ireland Tom Foley claimed earlier this week that somehow Esty earned his position in Malloy’s administration by getting the future governor a job.
“Tom Foley’s allegation is simply untrue,” Esty said in a statement. “Neither I, nor my former consulting firm, employed or did any business with Dan Malloy or Class Green, the firm he was associated with.”
Malloy told CTNewsJunkie that Foley’s claim about Esty is “factually incorrect.”
Foley continues to challenge the Malloy administration’s ethics on a number of fronts, claiming his accusations meet a “journalistic standard.”
